BIOGRAPHY

Before his powers, Zaire was a retired military leader. One last recovery mission ended in an unidentified explosion that killed his entire battalion. Separate air troopers recovered him severely injured. His heart stopped, then returned four seconds later as an unfamiliar blue energy awakened. He is the only survivor of his battalion. What caused the explosion—and why he returned—remains unknown.
